Rare 1972 Roberto Clemente Uncut Sheet

Nice profile shot of the great Roberto Clemente. This photo shows Clemente in a serious pose, with pronounced dignity. The Hall of Famer, who amassed exactly 3,000 hits, lost his life on December 31, 1972, when he was on humanitarian mission on a plane flying emergency supplies to Nicaragua, and the plane crashed at sea because of engine failure. 1972 Puerto Rico Stickers. "Baseball De Puerto Rico" printed on verso. In his younger years, even when in the majors, Clemente, a Puerto Rican, had played baseball in the Puerto Rican Winter League. Printed in Spain, the uncut page includes nine stickers, numbers 198-206, that when placed together would complete this striking photo of Clemente. (6.25x8.5").
