Rare Babe Ruth 1928 Fro-Joy Collection
One of the few known authentic Fro-Joy sheets and advertising premiums. Starts off with a facsimile signed photograph in original mailer of "The Babe" in his Yankees pinstripes. The photo was obtainable by mail when sending in six photos (cards) of Ruth from Fro-Joy Ice Cream. Most importantly, is a REAL and beautiful uncut sheet of the Fro-Joy Ice Cream baseball cards featuring Ruth. It measures 8 1/2" X 12" and features the six cards of the Yankee slugger which Fro-joy featured during the 1928 season. The sign at the bottom of the sheet reads, "Boys-Girls! 'Babe' Ruth picked Fro-joy Ice Cream in Fro-joy Cones to give the thousand orphans at his Boston baseball party because Fro-joy Ice Cream builds strong bones, sounds teeth and healthy bodies. If you want to grow big and strong, eat Fro-joy Ice Cream every day." The uncut cards are matted and presented in a handsome frame along with a Fro-joy "Survitor" that could hold up to 5 ice cream cones. The cards and survivor are EX-NRMT ( slight foxing on the card sheet). So scarce it's frightful!!!
