Rare Demsey-Firpo World's Heavyweight Championship Fight Program
This six page tri-fold is the only one of its kind we have seen. It measures 7x10". The front cover reads, "Dempsey vs. Firpo, Souvenir Program, World's Heavyweight Championship Contest, 1923, Friday, September 14, Polo Grounds, New York City, N.Y.". There are two full-page images of the fighters (by National of NY) on pages three and four. This piece is similar to the Ty Cobb folio and later Dempsey and Tunney souvenir pieces. The back cover (page six) is a scorecard with all of the undercards, making this a solid program from this historic bout.
