Aladdin Industry's famed metal dome lunchboxes were introduced in 1950 with a Hopalong Cassidy image and became so popular with schoolkids that the American Thermos Bottle challenged its turf with a line of Roy Rogers boxes. The lunchbox war was thus on, and would rage for decades. This incredible lot of appox. 30 dome boxes include a very rare early Roy Rogers-Dale Evans "Chow Wagon" box but also reflects expanding themes and non-metal, embossed and "3D" surfaces in later years. These images include a farm house, an airport, flying space ships, Disney characters, Sir Lancelot, lion in a cage, a bus, choo-choo train, Scooby Doo, Stark Trek, and the Beatles' Yellow Submarine. All boxes EX-NRMT and for Baby Boomers, sure to rekindle memories and the fainst taste of peanut butter and jelly.
