Rare Joe Louis 1947 Cuban Program
With only one title match defense in all of 1947, The Brown Bomber took off on a tour of Latin America in February and March, fighting exhibition matches against a coterie of reliable bums. Two of these "tomato cans" were journeymen fighters Art Ramsey and Walter Hafer, against both of whom he fought two-rounders in Havana's Gran Stadium on March 9. This terrific program features Louis on the cover and is full of boxing stories in Spanish. Extensive age wear and yellowing but an historical gem.
