Ray (Boom Boom) Mancini was born on March 4, 1961 in Youngstown, Ohio. Mancini came from a fighting background. His father Lenny preceded him as a professional. Ray won the NABF Lightweight Title on May 16, 1981 from Jorge Morales. On May 8, 1982 he won the WBA Lightweight Title from Arturio Frias. He retired after losing to Livingstone Bramble on February 16, 1985. Mancini's final record was 29-3. Ray “Boom Boom” . Ray Mancini was one of the most popular fighters to ever enter a prize ring. Offered here is a fight worn robe of Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini worn in one of his pre championship fights. The robe is white satin with green trim and Mancini’s name on the reverse. The robe was part of the collection of Dave Wolf who managed Ray Mancini along with other fighters. In overall excellent condition with some slight soiling. Letter of Authenticity from Craig Hamilton of JO Sports, Inc. who purchased the robe from the estate of the late Dave Wolf.
