Red Grange Original Painting By Nicholas Volpe
Nicholas Volpe was a noted artist who handled the Los Angeles Dodgers' drawings as well as portraits of Academy Award winners. Among his fine creations is this wonderful portrait rendering of legendary halfback and coach Red Grange with action shot in the bottom left corner. Grange - commonly known as "The Galloping Ghost" - helped legitimize the NFL and was a charter member of both the college and pro football Halls of Fame. Volpe's Pastel work is of Excellent quality and screams of his 1950s-'60s style. Framed and measuring 24.5" x 28", the portrait is in EX condition.
