Richard Fox 1904 Signed Book With Police Gazette Prints Supplements
This extremely rare "Art Album of Pugilists & Athletes" is signed on fly leaf with a HUGE fountain ink signature, "Compliments of Richard K. Fox Dec. 5, 1904" in that famed flowing pen. Each 11x16" page is a Police Gazette-type supplement that comprises a Who's Who of boxing immortals: Sullivan, Jeffries, Fitzsimmons, Corbett, McCoy, Ryan, Sharkey, Gans, McGovern, Dixon, Walcott, Hart, Root, Atell, Peter Jackson, and more. Some athletes have been removed, (not boxers) there are 41 prints. Some have been numbered in ink as, we believe, this was used in-house. Minor edge and corner wear and minor surface wear to covers, the supplements are generally clean and sharp.
