Nice archive of images relating to Nixon’s tenure on the House Un-American Activities Committee and specifically the Alger Hiss Spy Case. This was the event that brought the young California Senator to prominence and sealed his fate as a sweet and sour Presidential epic. It sealed Hiss’ fate as well. Most are front captioned including with J. Parnell Thomas and Robert Stripling going over testimony, and going over a Hiss-Chambers banner headline. Original stamps on the versos.
