Talk about two legacies that went in opposite directions. Ted Williams is revered as one of the greatest hitters and patriots of all-time while Richard Nixon, fair or not, will forever be linked to the Watergate scandal of 1972. This unlikely pair teams up in this two-piece lot that consists of a psychedelic "Nixon's the One" poster that's part of a display with a signed Oath of Office and black-and-white photo of the 37th President of the United States playing the piano. The blue signature under the oath rates 8-9/10 and the whole framed piece measures roughly 18" x 31". The second display features a photo of Nixon - an avid baseball fan - throwing out the first pitch at a Senators game when "Teddy Ballgame" was Washington's manager. It is signed by Ted Williams, and a blue ballpoint index card signed by Nixon. Both are in NRMT condition with 9/10 signature strength. A cool piece of Americana from when two iconic figures crossed paths for one brief moment in our nation's capital.
