Richard Nixon Single Signed Baseball

Richard Nixon Single Signed Baseball

Former President Richard Nixon was a huge baseball fan who often attended Mets games at Shea Stadium while living in New York in his retirement years. It was during one of those forays to the ballpark in the mid-'80s that he signed this ONL (White) ball on the sweet spot in blue pen. Signature is a prime post-Watergate era Nixon, grading 9 out of a possible 10. Ball itself is pristine and snow white, NRMT-MT. There was speculation Nixon would become baseball commissioner, and he clearly had friends among the owners -- notably, a bellowing "Boss" who in the '70s was convicted of funneling Nixon illegal campaign contributions.
