Robert Fitzsimmons Cabinet Cards (3)

Robert Fitzsimmons Cabinet Cards (3)

Robert Fitzsimmons was born on May 26, 1863, in Helston, Cornwall, England. He won the World Middleweight Title in 1891, the World Heavyweight Title and later he won the World Light Heavyweight Title in 1903. He retired with a final record of 43-12 with six no decisions, one no contest, and 32 KOs. Offered here is a group of three original cabinet cards of Robert Fitzsimmons issued in 1899 when he was Heavyweight Champion. Each card bares the stamp of the photographer, Klein & Guttenstein. The images are bold and clear; the card showing his back has been trimmed on one side, the one in fight pose has a crease and the third some staining at mount. The images are rare and superb.
