Robert Fitzsimmons Signed Business Card As Middleweight Champion
Robert Fitzsimmons won the World Middleweight Title on January 14, 1891, from Jack Dempsey. On March 17, 1897, he won the World Heavyweight Title from James Corbett. He later won the World Light Heavyweight Title on November 25, 1903, from George Gardner. Offered here is an original business card of Robert Fitzsimmons as World Middleweight Champion which he has signed in fountain pen ink on the reverse. Circa 1891. This is an original business card of Robert Fitzsimmons as "MIDDLE WEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD." The front of the card has small corner stains from mounting and a number written on it. On the reverse Fitzsimmons has boldly signed the card in fountain pen ink. Not creased or torn. 2.25" x 3.875”. Extremely rare, early signature.
