Roberto Clemente Painted Baseball by George Sosnak

Roberto Clemente Painted Baseball by George Sosnak

An exceptional example lovingly preserved. A classic dedication to the shining star of Pittsburgh, Roberto Clemente. Rendered by folk artist and umpire, George Sosnak. He started the practice in 1956, and used to hand them out as gifts to deserving friends. Now they are most delectable pieces of American folk-art history. Rich caricature of the Puerto Rican legend includes his lifetime stats surrounding on all panels. “Pirates” team emblem on another panel. Wonderful example is EX-MT with virtually no fading or chipping to the paint.
