Roberto Clemente Single Signed Ball

Roberto Clemente Single Signed Ball

Roberto Clemente was a gentleman and great ball player, honoring Pittsburgh and major-league baseball with 18 seasons, where he finished 13 times in the top ten for batting averages, and on top four times as National League batting champ, as well as collecting 12 Gold Gloves and appearing 12 times as an All-Star, among the many other athletic feats this first-ever Hispanic-American Hall of Famer accomplished. His tragic death is legendary, lost in a goodwill venture flying to Nicaragua to bring aid to earthquake victims. He carried himself with grace and humility, and played the game with fire and fairness. This single is a nice one, an Official National League (Giles) baseball, on which the legend has scripted fluidly in 8/10 blue ink on a side panel, with inscription, “To Craig, Best Wishes, Roberto Clemente.” The orb is EX-MT.
