Roberto Duran December 8, 1978 Fight Worn Robe
Turquoise velvet robe with satin interior was worn by Roberto Duran, the man known as “Manos de Piedra” (Hands of Steel) while entering the ring for his fight against Monroe Brooks who he KO'd in the 8th round. Just one of his astounding 120 total career fights. The Panamanian boxer is the only fighter in history whose career spanned 5 decades. He has just recently retired in 2002, after compiling a record of 104 wins, 69 by KO. Robe with white trim and “Roberto Duran, Campeon Mundial Ligero” in felt lettering on the back. A couple of the letters are partially detached, otherwise the robe is in fine condition. Originally acquired from Duran. LOA from his wife.
