Rocky IV Platinum Record Award

Here is a golden opportunity to possess a platinum record award for the album and cassette from the Rocky IV movie. The Rocky IV album was released on November 27, 1985, and it was the only score not written by Bill Conti - although the album includes some of the music Conti wrote for the first Rocky film. Framed at 17x21", the award includes an 11.5" diameter platinum record, a platinum-colored cassette and a 3x10" plaque. The plaque reads, "Presented to Andrew Govatsos to commemorate the sale of more than 1,000,000 Scotti Brothers Records Album and Cassette 'Rocky IV' - A faithful friend is the medicine of life - Always Ben Scotti." Govastos was a record sales executive for the recording. Also included on the plaque is an image of the album cover, with Sylvester Stallone, as Rocky, draped in an American flag, and the Scotti Brothers' trademark. This hit album included two singles that made the Top 5: Survivor's recording of "Burning Hot," and James Brown's rendition of "Living in America." The award is quite a find for for both music and film fans, and especially for all Rocky aficionados.
