Ross Youngs Original Film Negative
<p><span style="background: white none repeat scroll 0% 0%; font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana; color: #333333;">Original film negative capturing Hall of Fame outfielder Ross Youngs as a member of the New York Giants. Youngs is pictured striking a batting pose in front of the grandstand while an unidentified member of the Brooklyn Robins looks on. The name “Young” is written in the upper left corner. Although no year is listed, the Brooklyn uniform style shown here was only used by the club between the years 1922 and 1924. Youngs was one of the game’s top hitters, but his career was cut short by his premature death at the age of 30 in 1927. The negative (7x5”) remains in Excellent condition.
