Ruby Shoots Oswald Wire Photo

Ruby Shoots Oswald Wire Photo

Maybe the crispest and most dramatic photo taken of the freeze-frame that became seared into the minds of everyone who saw it happen right before their eyes on TV -- Jack Ruby emerging from a crowd and shooting JFK assassin (or so it is said) Lee Harvey Oswald to death in the garage of the Dallas City Jail on Nov. 23, 1963. The 6.25 x 9” wire photo captures the eternally fateful moment just as Ruby, seemingly unnoticed by everyone including Oswald, pulled the trigger. Amazingly sharp images right down to the bruises on Oswald’s face and the staring eyes of his police guards. Caption -- titled “Death in the Making” is infused into the bottom of the NRMT photo.
