Run of New York Yankees Team Signed Bats (5)
From 1984 to 1988, the New York Yankees averaged 88 wins a year but never made the postseason in those pre-Wild Card days. Still, those were some fine teams that featured some excellent talent, and these five bats from those consecutive seasons are filled with signatures that reflect that. The signatures were obtained in person inside the Yankees clubhouse by a former employee. Greats like Don Mattingly, Billy Martin, Ron Guidry, Willie Randolph, Lou Piniella, Rickey Henderson, Dave Winfield, Dave Righetti, Ken Griffey, Tony Fernandez, Al Leiter and longtime trainer Gene Monahan are all here, as well as many others. The models of the bats are Lou Pineilla (1984), Willie Randolph (1985), Mike Easler (1986), Dave Winfield (1987) and Rickey Henderson (1988). All are professional, game-model bats but do not show any use. Overall, the bats are Louisville Sluggers, feature at least 40 signatures each and grade NRMT.
