Salvador Sanchez Fight Worn Trunks

Salvador Sanchez Fight Worn Trunks

Salvador Sanchez only lost 1 fight in his professional career, a 12-round decision. He was reigning WBC featherweight champion at the time of his fatal car accident in 1982, age 23. Up to that point he had compiled a record of 46 total bouts with 44 wins and 1 draw and at the point of his untimely death, he was considered to be one of the very best pound-for-pound in the world. Offered are his red velvet trunks with pink trim, worn for his fight with Salvador Torres in Mexico City, Mexico on May 19, 1979 (Sanchez won by TKO in the 7th round). “Sanchez” is sewn onto the front waistband in red felt lettering. Trim is pink velvet, no manufacturing tag. Originally obtained by Grant Elvis Phillips of Grant Elvis Enterprises from Salvador Sanchez’s brother. Comes with LOA from Phillips (also signed by Craig Hamilton).
