Sandy Koufax Perfect Game Ticket Stub (PSA 7)
The nicest known specimen, this grades a PSA 7. Hall of Fame hurler Sandy Koufax authored a perfect game against the Chicago Cubs on September 9, 1965. It was his fourth, a then record, along with 14 strikeouts, the most ever recorded in a perfect game. Also notable was the tremendous performance of opposing pitcher, Bob Hendley, who tossed a one-hitter and allowed only two batters to reach base. Both pitchers had no-hitters intact until the seventh inning and the only Dodger run was unearned. Th e game holds the record for the fewest baserunners (both teams) with two. A 1995 SABR poll selected this as the "greatest game ever pitched." Unimprovable condition.
