Santa Anita Handicap Photo Collages (2)

Santa Anita Handicap Photo Collages (2)

The last race of a champion, and Seabiscuit went out a winner once more. The date was March 2, 1940, and the little horse who galvanized a nation won the Santa Anita Handicap before retiring. This framed photo collage from that memorable afternoon includes terrific details and measures 11x14" in its frame. There's also a 1938 framed collage showing Seabiscuit placing behind Stagehand at the Santa Anita handicap. The 19.5x23.5" framed piece also features multiple photos and great detail though its frame is pretty banged up. The collages are both in EX condition, however, and originally hung in Sharkey’s Casino in Minden, Nevada.
