Scarce George Foreman Poster Collection (5)
Rare collection of five scarce site posters featuring bouts of early George Foreman versus various opponents, from venues across the country. Foreman was a two-time World Heavyweight Champion who fought from 1969-1977 and then came out of retirement to fight again from 1987-1997. 1) Foreman versus Roberto Davila on October 31, 1969, at Madison Square Garden. Foreman won by a unanamious decision in the 8th round. Poster (21.25x27.75") shows minor paper loss, some wrinkling and a few small stains. 2) Foreman versus "Scrap Iron" Johnson on May 16, 1970, at the Forum, in Inglewood, California. Foreman won by a TKO in the 7th round. Poster (14.25x22.5") exhibits some small wrinkling, minor paper loss, and a few small stains. 3) Foreman versus Roger Russell, at the Spectrum in Philadelphia on May 25, 1970. Foreman won this fight by a first-round knockout. Poster (22.25x28") shows minor paper loss in two corners and along edges, some staining and wrinkling. 4) Foreman versus Scott "Fighting Frenchman" Le Doux on August 14, 1976, at the Utica Memorial Auditorium, in Utica, New York. Foreman won by a TKO in the 3rd round. Poster (16x26") exhibits a few small stains, and some wrinkling. 5) Foreman versus Lionel Butler on February 1, 1991, at Richmond Memorial Auditorium, Richmond, California. This fight was cancelled. Poster (17x22") shows some fading, a few small stains, and minor wrinkling. Overall condition of posters is satisfactory.
