September 6, 1995, Harold Baines Signed Game Used Bat from Cal Ripken's Record Breaking Game - Inscribed "Game 2131 2nd Inning"

Rock-solid provenance in this Harold Baines bat game used during the setting of perhaps the most incredible record in baseball history. Cooper Pro 100 Model C271 bat was used on September 6, 1995, when Cal Ripken Jr. broke Lou Gehrig's Iron Man streak by playing his 2,131st consecutive game. Immaculately signed in 10/10 gold fine point Sharpie by Baines and inscribed, "Game 2131 - 2nd Inning - 9/6/95." Bat shows nice use with ball marks on the barrel and residue from Mota stick on the handle. Bat is stamped on the knob as 35" 32 OZ, and is uncracked. Because of the nature of the event, everything from the game was documented by the Baltimore police to prevent theft and this still has the original tag on the handle. Baines used this bat to stroke a 2nd inning double though the record had not yet been set until the middle of the 5th inning, when it became an official contest, with Ripken cementing his status in immortality in going 2-for-4 with an RBI in the O's 4-2 victory over the California Angels.
