Sid Luckman Photos from the SFX Archive (15)
This is a collection of 15 wire photographs that captures the Chicago Bears’ Quarterback Sid Luckman. There are (8) 6.5 x 8.5”, (2) 8 x 10” and (5) 8 x 12” images that capture Luckman in on field shots, publicity shots and even a wedding photo. The images date from the late 1930’s during his days playing on Lou Little’s Columbia football team, up through the 1950’s when he served as a backfield coach for the Bears. The photos range in quality from VG to EX. Some have some creasing and minor edge tears, others are in terrific shape with bold contrast and devoid of wrinkles. Many of the images have the original news clippings attached to the verso.
