1922 E121 American Caramel (Series of 120) Joe Sewell, signed by Sewell in black ink on the front. PSA has graded the card FR+ 1.5 and the signature MINT 9. This is the ONLY example of this card graded at this level by PSA, with NONE graded higher. It is also an exceedingly rare Joe Sewell card, as there is just one other example listed in the PSA Population Report. This is one of Sewell's earliest cards, predated only by the 1921-1923 E220 National Caramel issue. Sewell obviously took great care when signing this card and his boldly scripted name, which extends diagonally border to border, measures over two inches in length. An exceptional and rare Joe Sewell signed card dating from the start of his Hall of Fame career.
