"Snoopy's Christmas" Gold Record

"Snoopy's Christmas" Gold Record

The Royal Guardsman became famous in the 1960's for songs about the world's favorite beagle, Snoopy. (In fact, they recently staged a comeback with a new one entitled “Snoopy vs. Osama.”) In 1967, their single "Snoopy's Christmas" received a gold record as “The Number One Christmas Record of 1967.” This lot includes a gold 45 rpm of the song with a plaque reading "In Appreciation to Rick Sklar and the Entire Staff of Radio Station WABC" framed to 12 1/4 x 14 1/4". NB: the record label has detached from the gold record under the glass of the frame. Also included is the original six-page sheet music for “Snoopy’s Christmas” in NRMT condition.
