Sonny Liston Mink Boxing Gloves
After be constantly taunted and baited by the young Cassius Clay, Sonny did some media jabbing of his own. Confident his power would have lasting affects on the challenger’s appearance Liston had these mink gloves custom made in order to spare Clay’s pretty face. The burgundy leather “Frager” gloves are covered with luxurious cream-colored skins over the entire outer surface giving them a soft and delicate feel. One seam on the left mitt has loosened but can easily be repaired and the soft leather shows wear on the inner wrist. Overall EX. Originally obtained from Geraldine Liston. LOA.
