Sonny Liston’s previous appearance before he knocked out Bill McMurray in four rounds on this night of March 16, 1968, was on June 1, 1967, when the heavyweight champ’s image could be found on the multi-starred, culturally ground-breaking album cover of the just-released Beatles’ landmark “Sgt. Pepper’s” LP. Obviously an icon, the controversial Liston died mysteriously in 1971. Very rare site poster is in EX condition. Light water stain on the right edge that can be seen on the back of the poster. "Reno Printing Company" at the bottom center. Red wonder measures 13 ? x 21 ?”.
