Stunning Tiffany Studios "Curtain Border" Hanging Shade

Important piece of fine decorative arts has never been publicly offered and is fresh to the market. Magnificent specimen of Tiffany leaded glass, dates from the early part of the 20th century. In classic art deco design, it is signed and handcrafted by the esteemed firm of Tiffany & Company at their artistic height, headed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Stunning curtain border design is one of the more popular patterns ever created by Tiffany Studios and as a mainstay was one of the first designs that transcended through all the production years of the venerable firm. Stunning shade is a kaleidoscope of colored glass that is expertly and artistically fashioned into a single mind-blowing entity. Shade is properly illuminated with a six light cluster supported by a bronze ceiling canopy and hook which are 100% all original with NO restoration. Shade is signed "Tiffany Studios New York" and measures 25" in diameter and 20" high. In magnificent condition, the glass has no cracks that we can see and is virtually untouched since it was hung in the 1950s.This is from esteemed Solowinski Family. Ray Solowinski, was a disciple of legendary photographer Richard Avedon and his wife Brynne Johnson-Solowinski, a model who once posed for the cover of LIFE magazine. Their photographic archive is also in this auction. It has been hung in their palatial New Jersey home for decades.
