Sugar Ray Leonard fought Bruce Finch on February 15, 1982, in Reno, Nevada, winning by knockout in the 3rd round to successfully defend his World Welterweight Title. Presented here is the original boxing license issued to Sugar Ray Leonard by Nevada for the year 1982 and used for that fight. Issued to Leonard for the year January 1, 1982 to December 31, 1982 by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, it has the Commission stamp on the back and is signed by Executive Secretary Roy Tennison. Bold color and print. Clean front and back, not creased or torn. Has one compression on upper right border. Minor edge and corner wear. Measures 2.25x 4." This is a very rare offering and one of the very few boxing licenses we have seen for this great champion.
