Sugar Ray Robinson Ticket Lot (2)
Two world championship full, unused, on-site tickets featuring Sugar Ray Robinson make up this terrific lot. The first is for Robinson's unsuccessful attempt to take the light heavyweight tile from Joey Maxim on June 23, 1952. Robinson virtually collapsed from heat exhaustion and could not continue in the 14th round at Yankee Stadium. The ticket is in EX condition and authenticated by PSA/DNA. The second is for Robinson's first fight with Carmen Basilio on September 23, 1957. Basilio won a 15 -round decision and the middleweight tile. The full ticket is in VG condition and has been authenticated by PSA/DNA.
