Sugar Ray Robinson is a name synonymous with greatness. Robinson's career spanned twenty five years and he won titles in two weight classes defeating numerous Hall of Fame fighters in the process. Robinson's autograph is sought after and somewhat available, but not from the early years of his professional career. We are offering here an early studio portrait of Robinson in fight pose as he looked when he turned professional. It has been boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen, signed during his initial professional years. This 8" x 10" photo has paper residue on the back from mounting, edge and corner wear and mild staining well outside the image and autograph. Extremely rare early signature.
