Sugar Ray Robinson vs Carmen Basilio Photographs SFX Archives (6)
Carmen Basilio and Sugar Ray Robinson met twice in the ring; the first time in September of 1957 at Yankee Stadium, won by Basilio in a split decision; the second in Chicago in March of 1958 with SSR winning a 15 round decision. This photo lot consists of (6) photos; three related to the first bout and three to the second. Photos are 8" x 10" and come to you from the SF Examiner photo archives. Five are in NRMT condition while the sixth has some newspaper edit markings rendering an EX rating. Includes a tale of the tape shot for the second bout.
