T7 Turkish Trophies/Helmar Tobacco "Hamilton King Girls" Collection
Magnificent group of T7 tobacco premiums from the early 20th century! Turkish Trophy premiums were issued between 1902 and 1913 to promote the sales of their brand and Helmar Cigarettes. This collection includes the first 5 series of "Hamilton King Girls", all complete, plus 15 of 25 premiums from the sixth series. "Hamilton King Girls" are rare and one of the most striking tobacco premiums ever issued; each premium is 6 x 8” and features magnificent full-color lithography at its finest, even to this day. The complete set is organized into six separate series, each with a different theme. Includes T7-1 "Sketches", complete set of 12; T7-2 "Girls", complete set of 12; T7-3 "Bathing Girls" complete set of 12; T7-4 "Period Gowns" complete set of 25; T7-5 "Flag Girls" complete set of 25; T7-6 "Bathing-Athletic-Dancing Girls" (15/25); missing #’s 1, 2, 7, 8, 10, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 23 for completion. Included in this collection are 22 additional premiums (duplicates), mostly from the T7-5 series.Overall condition ranges from GD to VG-EX, averaging VG. Because of their size, most all corners are rounded, and approx. 20% of the premiums exhibit light creasing or chipping. Colors however, still remain as bright and vivid as the day they were produced. Scarce, colorful and beautifully lithographed, a rarely offered collection of nonsport tobacco premiums.Total of 5 complete series, one partial series (15/25), plus 22 duplicates for a total of 123 premiums.
