Team and Multi-Signature Baseballs From The Gaylord Perry Collection (41)
Throughout the course of his 22 major league seasons, Gaylord Perry gathered a ton of signed baseballs from his colleagues, and here are 41 from the Hall of Famer's private collection. Most boast between 15 and 25 signatures, and more than half originate from Old Timers' games or fantasy camps with signatures including: Perry, D. Williams, Flood, Banks, Gibson, Torre, Mize, Irwin, Feller, B. Williams, Brock, Jenkins, Weaver, Killebrew, Mize, Doerr, Lemon, Carlton, Sutton, Roberts, Mathews, Kiner, Stargell, Appling, Slaughter, Cepeda, and many more. There is one 3,000-strikeout pitchers ball with 11 signatures including Ryan; a Giants Hall of Famers ball with Mays, Perry, Cepeda, McCovey and Marichal; a Giants Hall of Famers ball without Mays; a Giants pitcher greats ball with Perry, Marichal and others, and there's even balls that were team-signed from Perry's days as a player, including a 1966 NL All-Stars team including Clemente (faded signatures), several Giants team signed baseballs from the 1960s and early 1970s that have Mays, plus balls from the Texas Rangers, 1982 Mariners and 1983 Royals. And these are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Most are on official National or American League baseballs, the overall average of which is VG-EX with the signatures averaging 6-7/10.
