Team Canada Mens 2002 Olympics Training Camp Worn Jerseys (33)
Wayne Gretzky called the boys together for a four day training camp to select the member of Team Canada that would participate in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. The players agreed that the camp was needed and each one opted out of the NHLPA to attend. Nike supplied these groovy uniforms for the camp, held in Calgary. This set consists of 33 jerseys, grey for the netminders, black for the defensemen and blue for the forwards. Each heavy weight uniform sports the sewn-on crest of the Canadian Hockey Association with the players number and name (letters attached individually) on the back. Most have the IIHF patch on the tail and all are tagged in the collar by Nike. Game use varies from very light to light-medium. Goalies are: Roy, Brodeur and Joseph. Defensemen include: Jovanovski, Morris, Neidermayer, Desjardins, Stevens, Matvichuk, MacInnis, Blake, McKee, Brewer, Foote, Redden and Pronger. The forwards included in the set are: Nolan, Lindros, Kariya, Yzerman, Morrow, Peca, Shanahan, Primeau, Fleury, Recchi, Smyth, Turgeon, Carter, Arnott, Nieuwendyk, Iginla and Tanguay. With Letter of Authenticity from the Canadian Hockey Association.
