Remarkable negatives from “Ted Williams Day” held on April 30, 1952. Due to his strong military involvement, Williams only played a few games in 1952 and in honor of his last 1952 Red Sox appearance, the day was declared “Ted Williams Day.” Six 4x5” negatives from the Brown Brothers Archive feature Williams in uniform, in front of the microphone thanking the fans with the rest of the team behind him.
