His first time up he hit a grand slam home run. This was nicely bookended by the dramatic home run in his last at bat on September 28, 1960. The matte is inscribed in mint blue sharpie by Ted “My First New England Time At Bat…A Grand Slam Homerun…Ted Williams 1939.” Framed with it is a copy of the news article and two stunning photos from the originals negatives of Ted from that day.
