Ted Williams "The Permit" with Rod and Reel and Favorite Tackle Box

Ted Williams "The Permit" with Rod and Reel and Favorite Tackle Box

Most everyone thinks of Ted Williams as the Hall of Fame Baseball player and fighter pilot but what many forget is that he was also an avid fisherman/sportsman. He was an expert deep-sea angler and fly fisherman and spent the majority of his retirement focusing on his "new career" of fishing. From his fishing days comes this outstanding Ted Williams fishing collection that was personally used by Williams as well as on display at the Ted Williams Hitter's Hall of Fame Museum. The focal point of this collection is the mounted 31 lb "record setter" Permit fish (with plaque) that Williams personally caught with his Ted Williams edition rod and reel. There was even a print made featuring the fish along with Ted Williams facsimile signatures (15 prints included). The exact rod and reel combo he used to catch the "trophy fish" are included and in good usable shape. Accompanying the rod is Ted's favorite tackle box that's still filled with plenty of Williams most often used lures and supplies. Great Ted Williams memorabilia collection
