Terry Bradshaw Pittsburgh Steelers Signed Game Worn Shoulder Pads (Steelers LOA)
Terry Bradshaw had big shoulders, literally and figuratively, so it is appropriate and exciting to see a pair of the Pittsburgh Steelers' game worn Wilson shoulder pads available to sports collectors. Bradshaw used his powerful right shoulder to flick both short touch passes and soaring long throws to do what he did best: win. His winning ability set records as he became both the first quarterback to win three Super Bowls and then four Super Bowls. Bradshaw had an incredible run of Super Bowl triumphs as he led the Steelers to Super Bowl wins in 1974, '75, '78, and '79. Bradshaw was in four Super Bowls, and his big shoulders carried the Steelers to victory in every one. The Hall of Famer finished his career with a regular season won-lost record of 107-51. He completed 2,025 passes for 27,989 yards and 212 touchdowns. The game worn Bradshaw shoulder pads have " 77 'I' " stamped on the left chest part of the pads, so it is most likely that the pads were worn during the 1977 season. IN '77, Bradshaw took the Steelers to the AFC Central Division Championship, but Pittsburgh lost the Divisional Playoff game to the Denver Broncos. Also stamped on the left chest part of the pads is "F3202." On the right chest section of the pads is stamped "Wilson/Made in U.S.A,"and for size "18-19 LG [large]/HV." The Wilson manufacturer's logo is on the lower front part of each shoulder pad. Written by an unknown hand, with a black marker, is "12." The pads show moderate use, with a few small stains, scratches on the hard plastic, and some sweat marks. There are also some rust marks on the metal grommets. Bradshaw signed and inscribed the pads in gold marker, using a neat, big and bold script, with "Terry" on the left chest portion and "Bradshaw 12" The shoulder pads are in excellent condition, and it comes with a Pittsburgh Steelers of Authenticity signed by Arthur J. Rooney, II, the President of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
