The Alexander Pantages Rape Trial (25 photos)
Historical 1929 event where the head of the famed theater chain named for him was convicted (and later cleared) for the rape of a 17-yaear old would be vaudeville dancer Eunice Pringle. There is anecdotal evidence that Pantages was framed by rival and Presidential father Joseph Kennedy. There are 25 images here including with future Hollywood divorce super lawyer Jerry Geisler (this is the cease that made him), leaving jail, in the hospital (not being able to stand prison life), 1933 premiere, 1903-04 Seattle theater (printed 1929), the famed “broom closet” room he raped her in, the jury, and many more.
