The Babe at Bat for the Braves (1935)

Taken on March 5, 1935 when the Babe made his debut with the Boston Braves at their training camp wearing a pair of knickers belonging to Hank Gowdy, socks borrowed from Shanty Hogan, and a sweatshirt which may have been his own. After a few more swings, the mighty Bambino jogged around the bases and into the showers. International Press Photos stamp. Original paper caption. EX+. 6.5x8.5".
