"The Babe Ruth of Basketball" Bernhard Borgmann Basketball Contract

"The Babe Ruth of Basketball" Bernhard Borgmann Basketball Contract

1928 contract from famed player Bernhard Borgmann, who is regarded as the best offensive player of his era and was known as "The Babe Ruth of Basketball." He served as the first coach of the Syracuse Nationals of the National Basketball League - now known as the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers - and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1961. Contract is between Borgmann and the Fort Wayne Basket Ball Association for the sum of $700 per month with a $25 bonus for every home game won, as well as a $50 bonus for every road game won. Some wrinkles and folds to the contract, but still presentable and legible. Matted in brown with an accompanying image of Borgmann.
