Then he authored a single season record 37 saves in ’72 with the Cincinnati Reds. Offered is “Hawk’s” career highlights trophy collection: 1. 1972 Pitcher of the Year trophy bowl. Silver bowl (tarnished) sitting on wooden podium. Statue is 9” square and stands 10” tall. Plate on front with engraved “Clay Carroll Pitcher of the Year 1972 Cincinnati Reds Cincinnati Chapter BBWAA”. 2. Fireman of the Year award for 1972 season performance. White fireman’s hat with “Honorary Chief Hamilton Co Fire Chiefs Ohio” on front. 3. 1966 trophy in recognition of his 73 appearances. Stands 18” tall with fireman on top. Silver baseball player on lower stand. Engraved plate next to it reads “to Clay Carroll in recognition of establishing a new Braves pitching record in making 73 appearances in 1966 from Braves 400 Club”. 4. 1971 National League All Star game plate. Engraved with “Presented to Clay Carroll All Star Game July 13, 1971 Charles Feeney President” in the center with NL press pin. 12 NL team press pins surround it with the engraved names of the players in the All Star game from each team. Plate is 14” in diameter. 5. Carroll’s game-winning home run baseball hit off Bob Gibson – May 30, 1969. In glass encasement, visible mold has attached to ball inside. 6. Inscribed game ball from May 30, 1969: “Won against Bob Gibson May 30th, 1969 4-3”. 7. Two commemorative Braves baseballs intricately decorated by George Sosnak with the Hawks stats and highlights.
