Dr. Seuss, a.k.a. Theodor Geisel, was childless, and famously stated, “You make ‘em, I amuse ‘em.” Among the twenty photographs is the Pulitzer-honored Geisel, the author posing with a few of his stuffed characters (especially his Cat in the Hat), images of Yertle the Turtle and Daisy-Head Mayzie, and lastly the announcement of the beloved writer’s death.
