"The Quarry" Tom-Tom Drum Used at 1969 Woodstock Music Festival by Drummer Mick Valenti (Detailed Photo Provenance)

Incredible piece of pop culture and music history in this offering of the drum played at THE 1969 Woodstock Festival by Mick Valenti of "The Quarry." Measuring 13.5" in diameter and standing at about 15.5" with great metallic gray finish, it shows extensive use from play as well as a few stray beverage stains. Bottom portion is open to allow for placement of a microphone, if needed. The Quarry is listed on the 2019 documentary "Creating Woodstock," lot comes with some signed photos of Valenti that show him using the drum at other gigs, and also included are copies of the programs from those gigs. Because of the nature of the event, it can be very difficult to find Woodstock memorabilia at all as much of it was discarded or damaged, but it is exceedingly rare to find a piece that was actually used onstage; a chance to own an instrument from the festival that changed the world.
