Stunning and gruesome photo of the remnants of Hollywood Heartthrob James Dean's Porsche taken on September 30, 1955, the day of his fatal crash. Vintage image is 10x8" with some minor creasing, particularly at the corners, but the presentation remains all too vivid. Caption in pen on reverse notes, "James Dean's Porsche racing car after the accident in which the young star was killed," along with the date. Part of the Brown Brothers photo collection, with stamps on back.
