The two Ali vs. Liston fights for boxing's world heavyweight championship were among the most anticipated and controversial fights in the sport's history. Prior to his name change to Muhammad Ali, Cassius Clay first faced Sonny Liston in the Boston Garden on November 16, 1964 and this NR/MT working press ticket displays head shots for both fighters. The original, full-ticket for the weigh-in that same day is also NR/MT. The original, full ticket to the Lewiston, Maine bout six months later appears EX but has some pen writing on the back.
